I know, I know, etymological definition, very art college - but it completely clarified why I want to continue with this little documentation project! (anybody often mix up entomology with etymology? - that was almost an insectual definition. insectual...say it out loud...)

I've been taking note of all the everyday comforts. I especially like that the word "comfort" that says it strengthens you. Like a hot sweet tea : )

Vulgar: late 14c., "common, ordinary," from L. vulgaris "of or pertaining to the common people, common, vulgar"

Comfort: late 13c., conforten "to cheer up, console," from O.Fr. conforter "to comfort, to solace; to help, strengthen," from L.L. confortare "to strengthen much"
