Swallows of summer sitting in the rafters of the old cow house. When we used to milk in here they would swoop in through the square window-holes and settle above us. The cows all stood in a line, licking up their dairy nuts. My parents pushed in between their touching bellies, shoulder and ear to their side and slipped on the machine.

Was it intentional that Charlize Theron's heart necklace thumped with her pulse in the movie Young Adult?

some bleary eyed tea — I'm slowly working my way through my tea collection which includes a lucky dip jar. There's one down the bottom I'm not too keen on...

As I left a party last Friday (a goodbye party - we will be a-part[ie] - terrible joke...that's for you J) I had to laugh at all the bikes locked outside. such a lovely sight. We left ours at home, they never get to go to parties - poor dears.

I just want to hear that trickle of a thaw — like nature programs about foxes and their cubs...pan to a stream of spring melt water.

I have a cold so my mind is a little melty

Peter Peter pumpkin peeler.

I took some peas out of the freezer and saw that they all had icy coats on.
The texture reminds me of the item I'm knitting at the moment. (I say item because it could become a present.) I love settling the stitches on the needle — it's like stroking a scrawny cat's back.

The middle photo is just funny...

Sunshine on a rainy day [quiet]sunshine[/quiet], Makes my soul, makes my soul...

I'm wrapped in my lovely super soft base layers again - I hate being cold (my blood is made of microscopic blue and milky marbles) but I loooove wrapping up for winter. Right now I'm frozen but I'm looking forward to hopping into bed. If only you could live your night-time temperature life backwards - suddenly in the morning you'd be bloody freezing and hop out and into a cozy hot shower...

I think this photo of a my perfectly poached egg epitomises the life of somebody who, dare I say it, "blogs". Yeah I take pride in my tiny achievements! BTW, the only secret to perfectly poached egg is that it's laid that morning. There's just no point in making one unless you like stringy wet strands all over your toast.
